Life-enhancing travel experiences happen, but cannot be bought for any amount of money. Invariably they occur when our guests and local communities come together with mutual respect. A common task or goal, as simple as serving lunch to 500 orphans, or as labor-intensive as building a new roof for a school, is another powerful catalyst fostering true cultural exchange and therefore life-enhancing experiences. Active, results-based contribution in communities we visit & work in is terribly important to all parties, and you can join us. WE ARE NOT A VOLUNTEER PLACEMENT ORGANIZATION, BUT RATHER A PRIVATE TOUR COMPANY PROVIDING LIFE-ENHANCING TRAVEL EXPERIENCES.

NOTE ON COSTS: Volunteering with North by North East COSTS THE SAME OR LESS than a standard tour or adventure. Families, couples & small groups generally allow us to plan some such element in their program (1/2 day or more). University student groups often require a 2-3 week intensive volunteer program! In all these cases volunteer activities cost less than others.

What sites and activities do you feel are 'Must See & Must Do' as you plan your trip? (our experts will take these into account when determining your needs and suggesting appropriate complimentary activities and sites). What kind of hotels would you like? (NOTE that Thai 4 star hotels offer far better value for money than the same in Europe or N. America, averaging between 50 USD & 120 USD per night. Similar accom in Cambodia, Vietnam, Burma and Laos is slightly more). Please give us some idea of your accommodation needs that we do not waste your time!
