About NXNE

CREATING LIFE ENHANCING TRAVEL EXPERIENCES

Our trips throughout Southeast Asia are for individuals, couples, friends, and small groups of environmentally responsible and active people. We offer travelers unique, safe and exciting adventures, and leisure travel experiences, which transcend the boundaries of traditional travel.

Responsible tourism is not about imposing our own culture and values on others, nor is it about conforming totally to a local culture. It is about a respectful and equal exchange of values. Our operations span the spectrum of local society, from the major capitals to small isolated village communities. Our philosophy is a result of years of experience interacting at both extremes of this spectrum, and many points in between.

North by Northeast will expose you to "the real thing"; major attractions, local highlights, culture and lifestyle of the people, as well as the flora and fauna. You may encounter situations that you may find difficult to comprehend or even offensive, but we actively discourage passing judgement or instigating change.

Our clients include universities, educational and research institutions, museums, alumni associations, non-profit organizations and individuals looking for a customized, specialty travel experience!

Join us as we explore a new world of specialized multi-country travel in Southeast Asia and the Mekong region - art, architecture, Vietnam War history, cuisine, photography, music, nature, voluntourism, trekking, cycling, and more! All tours follow exotic routes to beautiful destinations for truly magical cultural exchange.

As with all North by North East tours these can be booked 'as is', or we invite you to talk with one of our qualified Southeast Asia and Mekong Travel experts to customize a program to suit your specific desires. This is a unique feature that none of the mass tourism companies in Bangkok can provide.

Mutual respect allows you to interact with local people in ways that will surprise and delight all. North by North East guides' sensitive leadership and knowledge will allow you to interact successfully in 'real' local communities to open doors for meaningful cultural exchange and life-enhancing travel experiences. As our VIP guest you are certain to return home with life-long memories.

North by North East has a company-wide commitment to mutual respect. We believe this sets us apart from the rest. Mutual respect will surprise and delight all. Mutual respect is the key to creating a truly great trip! In short, this is our forté.

"For many years Southeast Asian cultures have fascinated, surprised and charmed me.

Today I find nothing more satisfying than giving my guests a taste of what I have grown to love in asia. This is done through a carefully chosen combination of cultural experiences, visits to important sites, and perhaps the occasional adventurous exploration. The most important element however are impromptu encounters with local people.

Anyone visiting Angkor Wat, Thailand's Grand Palace, or sleepy Luang Prabang will agree on the magnificence of the sites themselves, but it is always the experience of direct contact with the local people that my guests cherish the most.

There is only so much one can buy when travelling... the REAL 'take home' from travel experience is a feeling in your heart that can never be duplicated, or taken away... That is what I do..."
