Help! Cultural Theft!

Southeast Asia is home to many vibrant cultures and historical treasures. Sadly, more and more artifacts are being stolen and shipped abroad to be sold in the West via Bangkok and Singapore. Due to lax laws pertaining to the sale and transit of cultural heritage in these two cities, nothing is being done to stop the theft and leakage of these irreplacable items.

Lost Forever

We ask you, our readers, to please please take a minute and sign this petition from our partner in cultural preservation, Heritage Watch. It merely means to apply some pressure on Thailand and Singapore to adopt stricter laws and to become signatories to the 1970 UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property.
