The Thailand Laos Cambodia Brotherhood
The Thailand Laos Cambodia Brotherhood (TLCB) is an American Organization mostly comprised of military people, but open to all who have an interest in the children of Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, with the mission to assist, and make a positive difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate. The organization's assistance work is funded primarily by the members, and with a limited amount of outside assistance. TLCB is unusual in that every cent donated to the assistance program is used for a cause, and all administrative expenses come from the volunteer's own pockets. The organization is as transparent as any we have ever seen. We salute and support all TLCB work.

| Good Work TLCB! |
John Middlewood is the local representative for TLCB in Nakorn Phanom Province. One of the projects John & the TLCB are undertaking this year is with a group of American and International University Students from a Bangkok University. The students will donate their time to run an "English Camp" for 100 local children. This is just one example of TLCB's good work.
TLCB assists in a number of villages providing basics (school lunches, uniforms, school supplies) where there is a need. While Mr. John Middlewood can supply full details on needs, below is a "Wish List" John aims to gather this year. If you would like to help, please contact North by North East Tours, or you can go to the TLCB website for info there: Main page: http://www.tlc-brotherhood.org), and TLCB's assistance work in Nakorn Phanom can be seen here: http://www.tlc-brotherhood.org/thare.html.

6). Funds are always needed for school clothes, shoes, school supplies, sports equipment.
7). Used books in Thai or elementary English for school libraries are needed everywhere.
8). Water purification systems for almost all schools are needed. Costs here are different depending on needs of individual schools, but may run from 28,000 baht up.
9). Rehab of school's kitchen areas in almost all schools is needed – e.g. one school has requested 140 square meters of tile for dining area and another 20 square meters for the kitchen itself - cost 18,400 B. Cement needed will cost another 5,000 B. All labor to be supplied by villagers, and students - other schools have similar needs.
10. White boards for schools that do not have them. Many schools use blackboards and green boards that went out of date many years ago in the United States, and chalk dust can create problems for the students.
