| Day 1:
Ubon Rachathani – Khong Jiam – Pha Taem National Park – Local boat ride – Khong Jiam |
After you arrival Ubon Ratchathani drive to check-in at the Tohsaeng Khong Jiam Resort. In the afternoon, drive to Pha Team National Park pre-historic paintings and lovely views of the Mekong and Laos. Afterwards, we will board a local boat (with a roof) for the trip to the resort. This part of the Mekong River is especially scenic and interesting!

Day 2: Khong Jiam – Chong mek THAILAND – Pakxe LAOS – Champasak – Wat Phu – Elephant riding – or Bolovens Plateau – Thad Fane Waterfall & Forest Walk – Tea & Coffee Plantation – Chong Mek LAOS – Khong Jiam THAILAND |
After breakfast, drive to Pakxe, LAOS where you may enjoy 1 of 2 choices of activities.
- Cruise down the Mekong River in a local-style boat to visit the pre-Angkorian ruins of the UNESCO World Heritage Wat Phu Khmer temple & museum at Wat Phu. Then continue by car to Ban Khiet Ngong for Elephant riding before returning to explore the Chong Mek Border Market, and then cross to Thailand and the resort.
- Continue by car and climb to the top of the Bolovens Plateau to visit the Thad Fane Waterfall and walk the surrounding forest. Visit a coffee and tea plantation to learn how these are grown and harvested. Return to visit the Chong Mek border market before crossing back to Thailand and the resort.

| Day 3:Khong jiam – Khao Phra Viharn Mountain-top Khmer Temple (CAMBODIA) – Sightseeing in Ubon Town – Ubon |
Drive to the Cambodian Border and climb the weathered and ancient stone steps to Khao Phra Viharn Khmer temple complex’s cliff-top view point, built even before Angkor Wat. Wide steps climb to graded causeways and arrive at an extensive but dilapidated center. Enjoy the view. On the way back stop at Maw-I-Daeng cliff carvings. Drive back to Ubon Ratchathani. Visit a number of city sites before driving to your hotel for overnight and dinner.
